"The Times They Are A-Changin'" is the title track to Bob Dylan''s 1964 album of the same name. A previous mix included a cover by Odetta. This mix includes a liver version by Josephine Baker and covers by Cher, Nina Simone and Brothers & Sisters featuring Merry Clayton.
"Behind That Locked Door" was written by George Harrison in August 1969 as encouragement to Bob Dylan while he made a public performing comeback with The Band. It appeared a year later on his debut album All Things Must Pass. That version has appeared on a previous mix. This mix features Harrison's demo version as well as covers by Olivia Newton-John, The Felice Brothers and My Morning Jacket singer Jim James under his alias Yim Yames.
One other song repeats this week: Bruce Springsteen's landmark album title track Born To Run from 1975, here with a cover by Frankie Goes To Hollywood off their 1984 hit debut album Welcome To The Pleasuredome.
The rest: an alternate first take of Bob Dylan's non-album 1965 single "Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?", the Gamble & Huff-produced "It's Forever" from the 1973 eponymous debut album by The Ebony's, a mixtape track credited to Childish Gambino that samples it with Ghostface Killah's lyrics in a track called "It May Be Glamour Life", Frank Sinatra's English language version of Harry Belafonte's "Manha De Carnaval" called "A Day In The Life Of A Fool", Miss Kittin The Hacker's odd "Frank Sinatra", the proto-punk track "Agitated" by Electric Eels, Junior Senior's ebullient "Move Your Feet", Wu-Tang Clan's hopeful "A Better Tomorrow" and Josephine Baker's live cover of George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord".
