"Come And Stay With Me" was written in 1965 for the singer Marianne Faithfull, supposedly as a favor to Faithful's manager, who was also her lover Jimmy Page's manager. In addition to Faithfull's version, this mix includes two versions by DeShannon recorded over 40 years apart, as well as a 1969 cover by Waylon Jennings with The Kimberlys and Cher's 1965 version.
"Every Night"is a song from Paul McCartney's 1970 debut album McCartney. He played every instrument, but for this song his wife Linda sang back-up vocals. This mix features covers by The 5th Dimension, Richie Havens and Odetta to accompany the original.
One other song repeats on the mix: the 1970 single "Our House" by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young along with a solo demo by Graham Nash.
