The 1964 Motown single "Dancing In The Street" by Martha & The Vandellas was co-written by Marvin Gaye, who also played drums on the track. This mix features covers by The Grateful Dead, Van Halen and The Kinks to go along with the original.
"Peaceful Easy Feeling" was written by struggling songwriter Jack Tempchin in 1972, and then used for the eponymous debut album of The Eagles. B.W. Stevenson also recorded it that year, as well as folk singer Kate Wolf ten years later and Buck Owens in 1977. All four of those versions are here.
