This week's mix featured the music of Tom Waits: beginning with his morbid "Dirt In The Ground", as well a live version of "Lucky Day" and his early ballad "Ol' 55".
Two songs are also featured this week. "No Regrets" was written and recorded by Tom Rush in 1968. Along with the original, this mix has covers by Lee Hazelwood, The Walker Brothers, Raindog and Olivia Newton-John.
"I'll Sail My Ship Alone" was written and recorded by Moon Mullican in 1950. Covers by Patsy Cline, Leon Russell, Hank Williams and Jerry Lee Lewis grace this mix alongside the original.
Other stuff: Nas with Kanye West on the mellow "Still Dreamin'", a slightly edited version of Nico's cover of David Bowie's "Heroes", the aggressive "Windmill" by The Wu-Tang Clan, the full album version of Barry White's "Never Never Gonna Give You Up", the witty "Popular Demand (Popeyes)" by Clipse with Cam'ron and Pharrell, a demo version of "I'm So Tired" by The Beatles and Bette Midler's tender "The Rose".
