This mix from four years ago feature three very different covers of Bjork's "Army Of Me". In addition to versions by Atoi and Grisbi there is a fun countrified take by the modestly named The Messenger Of God.
The Last Poets were a group of musicians and poets who formed in the late 60s amid the civil rights movement. Their spoken word pieces still carry a shock of militancy and are now considered the forerunner of much of modern hip hop. On this mix I have their "When The Revolution Comes" as well as their much later collaboration with Common on "The Corner".
