"The Crying Game" was written by Geoff Stevens and first released by British pop singer Dave Berry in 1964 and was a top 5 hit in the UK.  The following year it was released as a single by American country pop singer Brenda Lee. It was reintroduced in 1992 as the title song for the British film of the same name, with a comeback single by Boy George. This week's mix features his version along with Brenda Lee's and a version by Jimmy Scott released in 1998.

"One I Loved (O Amor en Paz)" is a bossa nova jazz standard by Antonio Carlos Jobim. This week features his version with Frank Sinatra from their joint 1967 album, as well as a version by Astrud Gilberto from 1965 and version by McCoy Tyner with Ron Carter and Elvin Jones, from his 1976 album Trident.

One other song repeats this week: the album and demo version of "We Are Fine" from Sharon Van Etten's 2012 album Tramp.
