"Lost Highway" was a single written and recorded by the blind country singer Leon Payne in 1948, but is most closely associated with Hank Williams' version released a year later. This week's mix features versions by Leon Russell from his 1973 album Hank's Back!, Jeff Buckley performing live twenty years later, The Mekons from their 1985 album Fear and Whiskey, and the reunited Replacements from earlier in 2012 as well as the Payne original and Williams hit.

"Christmas Card From A Hooker In Minneapolis" is a Tom Waits song from his 1978 album Blue Valentine. This week features versions by Magnapop and Neko Case as well as the original.

One other song repeats this week: John Lennon's "Look At Me", with a cover by Joseph Arthur as well as an alternate version of Lennon's original.
