Elton John's "Your Song" is given a thorough work out by Billy Paul. I also included a nice early BBC version by Elton himself. The Replacements ballad "They're Blind" is here and its given a more country treatment by Kelly Willis. The other repeating song this week is The Smiths' "I Won't Share You", with a cover by The Morning Benders.

Greaves' sweet "Take A Letter Maria", my high school dance anthem "Rumors" by Timex Social Club, RZA's profane "Black Widow Pt. 2" with Ol' Dirty Bastard, the bizarre but deep "What's In The Headlines" by Don Covay, Buddy Holly's rhythmic "Love's Made A Fool Of You", Rev. B.L. Wightman with Lottie Kimbrough and Congregation singing the wise "Live The Life", GZA's head-bobbing "Alphabets", Sam Cooke's quietly yearning "Lost And Lookin'", a live version of Led Zeppelin's beautiful "That's The Way", a rough Take 1A of Duke Ellington's mournful "A Lull At Dawn", John Barry's source instrumental "Diamonds Are Forever", and Ringo's touching Beatles ballad "Good Night".
