This mix from last year is bookended with two versions of Led Zeppelin's heartfelt "Thank You": the original and a live cover by former Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell.
Also Zeppelin-related is a sweet cover of Phil Phillips's "Sea Of Love" by Robert Plant's one-off band The Honeydrippers. The original version is one here as well.
"Career Opportunities" by The Clash is featured on here. In addition to the original demo, I have a cover by Sex Clark Five and a cover of sorts by The Clash themselves, who included a version on their Sandinista! album sung by children.
There are two versions of Glen Campbell's "Rhinestone Cowboy" on here: the original and a rare cover by Radiohead. MF Doom and Madlib's collaboration called Madvillain also recorded a different song by that title also on here.
Elvis Costello's "Almost Blue" quickly became a jazz standard, and is here both in his version and a cover by Chet Baker.
The rest: Pavement's dry "In The Mouth Of A Desert", Ike & Tina Turner's hopeful "It's Gonna Work Out Fine", the odd and rare "See The Cheetah" by The Big Game Hunters, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles with the buoyant "If You Can Want", an alternate version of "Series Of Dreams" by Bob Dylan, an eerie DJ Raedawn Quixote remix of Busta Rhymes' "Gimme Some More", Raymond Scott's bizarre vintage commercial pastiche "Don't Beat Your Wife Every Night", Spandau Ballet's romantic "True", Paul Weller's cover of Etta James' "I'd Rather Go Blind" and a cover of The Beatles' Abbey Road medley "Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End" by Orchestra Pucho Lopez.
