"Stagger Lee" was a hit for Lloyd Price in 1959 and is based on an old blues folk song known alternately as "Stackalee", "Stackerlee", and "Original Stack O'Lee Blues" in versions by Frank Hutchinson, Bama and Long "Cleev" Reed with Little Harvey Hull and The Down Home Boys, respectively.
Bob Dylan's overlooked "Wedding Song" is on here twice: the original and a cover by Megan Reilly.
Dale Hawkins, who mentored the young band that became Creedence Clearwater Revival, had a huge hit with "Susie-Q", which CCR later covered. In addition to the Hawkins hit, I have a version by the Everly Brothers in Italian.
